Men's Golf Finishes 11th at Windon Memorial

GLENCOE, Ill. -- The Marquette University men's golf team finished 11th out of 15 teams at the conclusion of the third and final round at the Windon Memorial Classic held at Skokie Country Club. Junior Corey Konieczki closed with a 1-over-par 72, the team's low round of the tournament.
MU ended just one stroke behind Toledo with a 54-hole total of 921. The Golden Eagles shot their lowest collective round of the two-day event with Monday's score of 306, battling fast, firm greens and blustery conditions on the par-71 golf course. Senior Ryan Prickette carded a third-round 76 en route to a three-round total of 227 and was Marquette's top individual performer, finishing one stroke ahead of Konieczki, who was playing in his first event of the fall. The pair placed tied for 35th and tied for 37th, respectively. Prickette recorded two birdies in his final four holes, while Konieczki made a team-best three birdies on the day. Ohio State topped tournament host Northwestern for the team championship by one stroke with a team score of 881. Marquette Individuals Team Standings
