Round Two Results
EL PASO, Texas — Hunter Eichhorn’s 3-under-par score through 36 holes is good for a tie for sixth, while Marquette posted a second round 288 to hold a tie for third place on the leaderboard at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational, hosted by UTEP.
With scores up across the board on Saturday, as 12 of the field’s 13 teams shot over par, Marquette’s 4-over-par score was good enough to maintain its spot from Friday. Marquette (281-288-569, 1-over-par) remains tied with Oral Roberts for third.
Eichhorn (67-72—139) was one of a pair of Golden Eagles to post 71s on Saturday on the Par 71, 7,267 layout at Butterfield Trail G.C., along with Matt Murlick, who sits tied for 11th (70-72–142, even par). Eichhorn and Murlick had three birdies each in their second round.
Austin Kendziorski, who owns the team and BIG EAST low average at 70.83, shot the low round of the day for MU with an even par 71 that was highlighted by an eagle on the Par 5 No. 6 hole. Kendziorski (73-71—144, 2-over-par) gained 23 spots on the leaderboard to a tie for 16th place.
