Sanchez Paces Marquette at Pinetree Intercollegiate

KENNESAW, Ga. -- The Marquette University men’s golf team closed out the Pinetree Intercollegiate with a final score of 947 finishing in 12th place at Pinetree Country Club.
Freshman Pat Sanchez and junior Michael Motz led the Golden Eagles Tuesday, each closing with a final-round 78. Sanchez tied for 34th place overall, finishing with a total score of 231 over the two-day tournament, while Motz finished 45th.
Senior Ryan Prickette (T62nd), who graduates in December and played as an individual, closed out his collegiate career carding a final-round 80.
Host Kennesaw State won the competition, claiming the top spot in every round and finishing with a team score of 4-under-par 860. Kennesaw’s Jimmy Beck also won medalist honors with a two-day total of 209.
The Golden Eagles will return to competition in Kiawah Island, S.C., Oct. 28-30, in their final team event of the fall season at the Wendy’s Kiawah Classic.
