MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's golf team will travel to Florida this weekend to take part in its annual Alumni Match scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25.

Former and current MU golfers will play a single 18-hole round of stroke-play, best ball format, Saturday morning at the renowned Orange County National Golf Center.

"This is a great opportunity to allow the older generation to blend with the new. It's a fun-filled and productive weekend, one that our team and alumni look forward to every year." said head coach Steve Bailey.

The current MU will also hold practice on Friday and Sunday, in addition to Saturday's Alumni Match.

"The weekend offers us the ability to fine tune our games with some competition and plenty of practice," said Bailey. "Orange County National has arguably the best practice facility in the country and two golf courses that regularly host the finals of the PGA Tour Qualifying School."

MU returns to action at the USF Invitational in Dade City, Fla., on March 4-6.
