MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette University men's golf team heads to Dade City, Fla., this weekend to compete in the USF Invitational. The event takes place from March 4-6 at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.

The Golden Eagles will face top competition, including No. 16 Florida State, No. 18 Central Florida, No. 22 Georgia, North Carolina, and event defending champions Middle Tennessee State. The tournament also features conference foes Louisville, Villanova, Cincinnati, DePaul, and hosts USF.

Head coach Steve Bailey said that "our mission this winter was to focus on two things: commitment and preparation. Our guys embraced the challenge, now it's time to go play and add them up at the end."

The Golden Eagles are coming off an 0-3 performance in The Match Play at Reunion Resort, where freshman CJ Swift won all three of his head-to-head matches.

"Our goal is that through our preparation, our guys show up with confidence, having that strong conviction that they will play well, not hoping they get it done," said Bailey.

Live scoring throughout the invitational will be available on Golfstat.com.

Marquette Lineup: Michael Motz, CJ Swift, Corey Konieczki, Adam Chester, Ryan Prickette.
