Golden Eagles Tee off at USF Ron Smith Invitational

MILWAUKEE-- The Marquette University men's golf team will return to action after a nearly four month hiatus at the USF Ron Smith Invitational.  Play at the Lake Jovita Par-72 7,226-yard North Course is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5.  Live scoring is available for the event.

Marquette will be one of 23 teams from across the nation to compete in the event.  The Golden Eagles and and host USF will be joined by Cincinnati, DePaul, Louisville,Villanova, and Xavier, among others.  

Golfers will play a total of three rounds, one on each day of the weekend.  Friday and Saturday's first and second rounds will have two waves of players tee off from the first hole and the 10th hole at the same time. 

The early wave will begin play at 7:30 a.m. and the late wave will follow at 11:30 a.m.  Sunday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.   Players will be split into foursomes for the final round.  

Marquette's lineup for the competition will consist of senior Mike McDonald, juniors Kelly Kretz and Ben Sieg and sophomores Matt Haase and Ryan Prickette
