TUCSON, Ariz. - Six members of the Marquette University men's golf team will cap off the team's spring break trip by playing in the 2014 National Invitational Tournament, hosted by the University of Arizona, March 14-16.
This weekend's event will be played on the par-72 (7,094 yards) Catalina Course at Omni Tucson National. Live scoring will be available at golfstatresults.com.
C.J. Swift tees off first for the Golden Eagles at 11:30 a.m. Central time Friday, followed by Brandon Cloete, Zach Gaugert, Nick Nelson and Pat Sanchez on the first tee. Freshman Henry Klongland will be playing as an individual, starting at 11:39 a.m. CT on hole 10.
The second round of the 54-hole tournament is slated for Saturday followed by another round Sunday.
Eight of the 14 participating schools are ranked in the top 50 in the latest Golfweek rankings. MU will be paired with Wyoming in Friday's first round as well as individuals from top-10 ranked programs Texas A&M, California and Oklahoma State.
