PINEHURST, N.C. -- The Marquette University men's golf team will compete in its second tournament of the 2009 spring season this weekend when they travel to Pinehurst, N.C. for the 2009 Pinehurst Intercollegiate By Gatorade held March 15-17 at The Centennial No. 8 course.
Live scoring will be available each day of the 54-hole event and a complete recap will be available at GoMarquette.com following each round of tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
With a team score of 864 (283-287-294), Marquette placed sixth at the Ron Smith USF Invitational held at the par-72 Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City, Fla. MU led the 23-team field following the second round of play. Mike Van Sickle was named the BIG EAST Conference Golfer of the Week after finishing third overall with a 6-under 210 (70-69-71).
LAST TIME AT PINEHURST
Marquette competed in last year's Pinehurst Intercollegiate and tied for 10th place with West Virginia with a team score of 908 (314-304-290). Mike Van Sickle and Mike Bielawski were the Golden Eagles top performers, tying for third place overall with a 4-under 212. Indiana won last year's event by 24 strokes.
