  • Senior Nick Nelson's third-place showing (73-72-65-210; 6-under-par) was the best event finish for a Marquette player in 2015-16; his previous best finish was first place at the 2013 Wendy's Kiawah Classic (210, 6-under-par).
  • Nelson leads MU with four sub-70 rounds this season - he has seven in his career.
  • Marquette's leading scorer, freshman Oliver Farrell (73.0, +1.4 vs. par) will look to rebound this week - his last sub-par rounds came in the second (68) and third (68) at the Price's Give `Em Five Invitational in October.
  • Marquette is second in BIG EAST team scoring average at 293.56 through 18 rounds; Farrell (fifth) and Nelson (sixth, 73.11) sit in the league's top 10.
  • Freshman Charlie Maleki qualified for his first spot in the MU starting five - the Mequon native last played as an individual at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate in October (78-79-71--228).

  • Stanford University Golf Course will host the event on its par-70, 6,727-yard layout.
  • The event includes a pair of ranked teams (No. 4 USC, No. 10 Stanford) and three schools (Colorado State, SMU, UCLA) that participated in the 2015 Erin Hills Intercollegiate... Host Stanford, Northwestern, and USF have a history with MU at Erin Hills in past seasons... Colorado, Oregon, SMU, UCLA and UNLV joined MU at the 2015 NCAA Noblesville Regional.
