The tournament field, 12 in total, includes Iowa, Washington State, Kansas, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Denver, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, DePaul and Nebraska. Both Iowa and Iowa State rank in the top-50 of the most recent Golfweek rankings.
Marquette will send out a familiar line-up with Nick Nelson, Patrick Sanchez, Brandon Cloete, C.J. Swift and Zach Gaugert all making the trip to Iowa. Head coach Steve Bailey has used this line-up the most thus far in the spring season.
The Golden Eagles have been idle for almost a month since they last played in the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Ariz. MU will have a quick turnaround after Sunday as they return to action Easter weekend at the Winchester Classic in El Macero, Calif.
