MILWAUKEE - Coming off their fifth place finish in Iowa City, the Marquette golf team heads west to California for the El Macero Classic April 18-20, hosted by UC Davis and Nevada, at El Macero Country Club in El Macero, Calif.

The 12 team field will play 18 holes each day on the par-72 (6,912 yard) course. The Sacramento suburban course will welcome Boise State, Cal Poly, Colorado State, Cal State Fullerton, Idaho, Nevada, Sacramento State, Grand Canyon, Marquette, Seattle, UC Davis and Utah Valley State over the Easter weekend.

Cal State Fullerton won last year's tournament, formerly known as the Winchester Classic, and join Nevada as the only two schools who rank in the top-100 of Golfstats most recent rankings.

Marquette will send out a familiar line-up in Pat Sanchez, Nick Nelson, Brandon Cloete, Zach Gaugert and CJ Swift. Sanchez and the other four golfers led the Golden Eagles to a fifth place team finish in last weekend's Hawkeye Invitational.

This will be Marquette's last tune-up before the season ending Big East Men's Golf Championship on April. 27-29. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com.
