Marquette will make its third NCAA Men’s Golf Championship appearance playing in the Sammamish, Washington Region, May 15-17, hosted by Washington at Aldarra Golf Club.

The Golden Eagles are the No. 13 seed in the Sammamish Region, which includes top seed USC and host Washington (No. 5 seed).

Thirty teams and six individuals will advance from regional sites to the national championships to be played May 26-31 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.  The NCAA regional field features 81 teams and 45 individuals.

Marquette qualified for NCAA regional play after claiming the automatic berth from the BIG EAST Conference, winning its third league championship (2008, 2015, 2017) after rallying from a 17-stroke deficit in the final round at Callawassie Island G.C.  Freshman Matthew Bachmann was the individual conference champion, shooting a 54-hole even par 216 (73-71-72).

The last NCAA regional appearance for the Golden Eagles came in 2015 in the Noblesville, Indiana Region, when Marquette was seeded 12th and finished 10th out of 14 teams.  MU hosted the NCAA Kohler Region in 2016 at Blackwolf Run G.C.
