Men's Golf Set to Tee Off at Windon Memorial Classic

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's golf team returns to action this weekend as they tee off in the Windon Memorial Classic, Sept. 22-23, at The Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, Ill. The tournament starts off with 36 holes on Sunday and the teams will finish with 18 holes on Monday.
Marquette will send out Henry Klongland, Pat Sanchez, Corey Konieczki, last week's top finisher C.J. Swift, and UW Parkside Invite champion Zach Gaugert. Nick Nelsonwill once again play as an individual.
Along with MU and host Northwestern, other schools in this year's field include: Arkansas, Coastal Carolina, DePaul, Harvard, Iowa, Kent State, Lamar, Michigan, North Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Tulsa and UC Davis.
Knollwood Club is a par-72 track that stretches 7,202 yards.
MU placed 11th in the tournament last year.
Former individual champions of The Windon include current PGA TOUR members Luke Donald and Hunter Mahan.
