Marquette Set To Host Erin Hills Intercollegiate

The 54-hole men's golf tournament will run Oct. 5-7 at Erin Hills Golf Course and feature 11 schools, which include some of the top amateur golfers in the world. This will be the second consecutive year Marquette will host a collegiate golf event at Erin Hills.
Admissions is free to the general public all three days of the tournament, as well as the practice round scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4 with tee times starting at 8:30 a .m. central time. Fans will have the opportunity to watch some of the best collegiate golfers test their skills at the future site of the 2017 U.S. Open.
The tournament will begin Sunday morning and continue Monday and Tuesday with tee times scheduled from 8:30 a.m. - 10:10 a.m. central time on the first and tenth tees for all three rounds.
"We are excited to bring our home tournament back to Erin Hills," said MU head coach Steve Bailey. "We are thankful for the opportunity to tee it up at a US Open venue against some of the premier college programs in the country."
Marquette finished ninth last year in a 14 team field which saw Stanford win the event by carding a team score of 13-under. Pat Sanchez was MU's top individual by finishing T33 and carding a three-round total of 223 (+7).
The Golden Eagles will be playing in an event for the third consecutive weekend, placing fifth in both The Windon Memorial and Badger Invitational.
