LOVELAND, Ohio -- Marquette University will be one of 12 teams to compete this week at the Xavier Invitational held at the Oasis Golf Club. The two-day event begins Monday.

Also participating with the Golden Eagles and host Musketeers is Akron, Austin Peay, Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Dayton, DePaul, Eastern Kentucky, Marshall, Ohio, and Princeton.
It's the second tournament of the season for Marquette after placing 12th at last week's Kansas Invitational, highlighted by a third-round 70 by junior Ben Sieg.
The Golden Eagles have fared well at the event in years passed. MU captured the team title in 2007 and finished second last year led by Mike Van Sickle, who won medalist honors with an eight-stroke victory. Matt Haase closed with a 68 and placed tied for 34th, along with Sieg.
Marquette's lineup this week will consist of Sieg and fellow junior Kelly Kretz, senior Mike McDonald, sophomore Matt Haase and freshman Ryan Prickette.
The tournament, which begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Monday, will conclude following Tuesday's third round.
