Marquette Heads to South Carolina for Wendy's Kiawah Classic

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's golf team will conclude the fall portion of their season on Oct. 28-30 when they head to Kiawah Island, S.C., for the Wendy's Kiawah Classic hosted by Charleston Southern.
The par-71, 7,011-yard Turtle Point Golf Course at the King Island Golf Resort will serve as the venue for the tournament. Tee times on Sunday and Monday will go from 6:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Central Time, all from the No.1 tee, weather permitting.
Marquette is one of 26 teams participating in the event. Notable teams in the field include, tournament-host Charleston Southern, defending Kiawah Classic champions Campbell, Connecticut, South Carolina, St. John's and Wisconsin.
The Golden Eagles will be represented by juniors Michael Motz and Corey Konieczki, along with freshmen Zach Gaugert, Nick Nelson and Pat Sanchez. Sanchez (T34th) and Motz (45th) both collected top-50 finishes at the Pinetree Intercollegiate last time out.
