Oliver Farrell is Marquette's leading scorer through five fall events.

NEW YORK -- After leading Marquette with a 70.5 stroke average and three sub-par rounds in October, freshman Oliver Farrell was named the BIG EAST Men's Golfer of the Month by the league office Nov. 6.
The Worcestershire, England product tied for eighth place at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate with a 1-under-par 215 over 54 holes (69-73-73) and was seventh at the Price's Give 'Em Five Invitational with an 8-under par 208 (72-68-68). The Marquette team took fifth at Erin Hills and fourth at the Price's Give 'Em Five. Farrell shot par or better in four of the six rounds in the two tournaments.
Farrell led the BIG EAST in scoring average at the conclusion of the month - he finished the fall schedule third in the league at 72.25 through 12 rounds.
As of Nov. 1, Farrell is ranked 48th among English amateurs by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
Farrell is the first MU player to capture league honors since Pat Sanchez picked up player of the month honors in September of 2014.
