MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's golf team has signed one of England's top recruits to its 2015-2016 recruiting class. Oliver Farrell will join the Blue and Gold under the leadership of head coach Steve Bailey.

Farrell, who is the fifth ranked player in England's Titleist FootJoy Order of Merit rankings, captured 10 tournament titles in 2014, which included a win at the Kymin Cup, highlighted by rounds of 67-69-73-68 and also prevailed in the world-ranking event, Carr Cup, with scores of 72-71-65.

"Oliver has established himself as one of the top junior players in all of Europe," said Bailey. "He brings a wealth of international experience and as evidence of his 10 victories in 2014, has a knack for winning. I have no doubt his work ethic and ability to compete will be contagious and will make an immediate impact on our program. "

A student at Pershore High School in Worcestershire, England, Farrell owns two Faldo UK Championship titles and claimed the 2014 Worcestershire Open title, which consists of the top 25 pros and amateurs in the country.

The England native has also been selected to represent his country in the Nations Cup and at the Henry Cooper Junior Masters and is a member of the Worcestershire Men's first-team, which remains unbeaten during the last three seasons.

Farrell has also retained the Evesham Golf Club Championship for a tournament record five consecutive years and holds the course record with a 6-under-par, 66.

Farrell will arrive on campus next fall and will have four years of eligibility remaining for Marquette.
