MILWAUKEE -- Mike Van Sickle will wrap up his fall season next week at the Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas. Van Sickle began his senior season at Marquette by winning three of his first five tournaments, adding to his school record total of nine collegiate victories. Due to his continued success, Van Sickle has received more attention from local and national media outlets.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel golf columnist Gary D'Amato features Van Sickle in a story published on Nov. 21 titled, "MU Golfer Van Sickle states case for being top college player." (Link to story)

Ryan Herrington of Golf World agrees. In his 4th annual Mid-Season Award package, Herrington named Van Sickle as his honorable mention selection for men's "Player of the (Mid)Year." The award is essentially runner-up to Indiana's Jorge Campillo, who earned the top nod. (Link to story).
