BIG EAST All-Academic (2013-14, 2014-15)

2015 Season: Played in all 16 games as a long stick midfielder and also took faceoffs in seven contests ... Registered his first point of the season with an assist vs. Detroit (Feb. 27) ... Inserted into the faceoff X late the match-up vs. Ohio State after the Buckeyes had dominated the faceoff stat. Gilligan responded by winning two key faceoffs that allowed MU to come back from a 9-5 deficit to top OSU 10-9 (March 1) ... Went 2-of-2 in the X vs. Bellarmine, while picking up three ground balls (March 31) ... Scored his first goal of the year in transition vs. St. John's (April 4) ... Scored one goal, while picking up a career-high seven ground balls and winning 9-of-20 face offs at Providence to earn a 14-10 win (April 11).

2014 Season: Picked up four groundballs at Jacksonville (March 8) ... Entered the faceoff X for the first time in his career vs. Georgetown. Gilligan won four draws and caused three turnovers including the first overtime faceoff that allowed MU to score a walk-off goal to beat the Hoyas (April 19) ... Appeared in all 16 games at long stick midfielder ... Finished 2014 with 21 groundballs and 14 caused turnovers.

2013 Season: Appeared in all 13 games ... Finished third on the team in shot percentage (.500), scoring four goals on eight shots ... Scored two goals against High Point.

Prior to Marquette: Won the 2013 Minto Cup with Whitby Warriors, Canada's box lacrosse national championship ... Two-year letterwinner at The Hill Academy and helped the Pride to a 46-2 overall in those two seasons ... Named Defensive Most Valuable Player when his team won the NALI Tournament in 2011.
