MILWAUKEE — The Marquette University men’s lacrosse team fell to Penn in a scrimmage at Valley Fields on Saturday afternoon before its reserves faced the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

The Golden Eagles trailed 7-2 following four quarters of regulation against the Quakers. The squads then went into a ten-minute fifth period with a running clock where Marquette posted two more goals.

The Quakers opened up the game with two first quarter goals from Joe Licciardi and Simon Mathias. After being down 2-0 at the start of the second quarter senior Ryan McNamara put Marquette on the board at 12:37 with a feed from junior Tanner Thompson.

Kevin McGeary and Simon Mathias each posted a pair of goals for the Quakers.

The fifth period saw MU goals from redshirt freshman Josh Williamson and true freshman Connor McClelland.

The Golden Eagles start their regular season at Jacksonville on Saturday, Feb. 18.
