Golden Eagles Open 2013 Preseason Slate Saturday at Michigan

MILWAUKEE - Led by head coach Joe Amplo, Marquette University travels to Ann Arbor, Mich., opening the NCAA Division I men's lacrosse campaign with a pair a pair of exhibition games Saturday. It also marks the beginning of the 2013 season for the first-year program.
MU will play Michigan in the Golden Eagles' first official exhibition contest of the spring. Faceoff against the Wolverines is set for noon Central time (1 p.m. ET) at Oosterbaan Field House. Marquette will then take on Denison at 1:30 p.m. CT, followed by Michigan vs. Denison at 3 p.m.
Admission is free for all three exhibition games.
Marquette, which opened preseason training on Jan. 14, enters the 2013 season with 45 players.
This weekend marks the first outside competition for the Golden Eagles since last October. MU went undefeated at the Nick Colleluori Lacrosse Classic, including a 13-7 win over High Point and a 12-8 decision over Robert Morris. Marquette later defeated Concordia University Wisconsin in a scrimmage at Valley Fields.
