All MLAX Home Games at Valley Fields; Tickets on Sale
Feb. 5, 2016
MILWAUKEE – Head coach Joe Amplo has announced that for the first time in program history the Marquette University men’s lacrosse team will play all five home games this season at Valley Fields (1818 W. Canal Street, Milwaukee).
“Our team has been waiting for this for a few years now, to finally have someplace on campus that we can call home,” Marquette head coach Joe Amplo said. “Practices at the Valley over the last four years have been terrific and now we can call that our true home field. That gives our guys an opportunity to hopefully create a great environment for the fans on campus to come to another great sporting event.”
Bleachers to hold 1,100 fans on the west turf field will be installed to allow Marquette to hold its home games in the Valley, beginning with the Saturday, Feb. 20 regular season opener against Bellarmine. With the move, the Golden Eagles will be able to play on the same FieldTurf Revolution surface that was installed in August and on which they practiced during the fall semester.
Hart Park in Wauwatosa previously served as the home field for the Golden Eagles, who had also played a few contests at Uhlein Park in northwestern Milwaukee.
Joint season tickets with the women’s squad, including five men’s games and eight women’s contests, are now available through the Marquette Ticket Office for just $25. Single game tickets will be available for $5, with tickets for children 12-and-under checking in at $3. Tickets for groups of more than 15 will be available for purchase at $2 apiece.
