MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men’s lacrosse team will host Penn and the Milwaukee School of Engineering in the final preseason action of the spring on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively. The games will be played at Valley Fields, inside MU’s newly introduced dome facility.

The scrimmages are free to attend and open to the public, though seating is limited inside the new structure. Live statistics will be available on Marquette's athletic website through GameTracker for the scrimmage against Penn.

Marquette has played Penn once before, defeating the Quakers, 12-6, in a scrimmage during MU’s first season of existence in 2013. The Quakers were picked third in the Ivy League preseason coaches’ poll and return five All-Ivy selections, including USILA All-American Connor Keating. The contest will be Penn’s second of the season, having previously squared off against Maryland on Feb. 4 in a closed scrimmage.

MSOE, a NCAA Division III program, will make the short trek to Valley Fields to take on the Golden Eagles. The Raiders put together two consecutive successful seasons in 2015 and 2016 with top-five finishes in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference.

Last time out, the Golden Eagles defeated High Point, 13-7, in the first home scrimmage of the season. Marquette outshot High Point, 36-14, and received a three-goal effort from USILA All-American Ryan McNamara.

Following the meeting with Penn and MSOE, the Golden Eagles will prepare for their season opener, when they travel to Florida to take on Jacksonville on Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. Central time in a contest broadcast live on the WatchESPN application.
