Kyle Whitlow Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE - Marquette University midfielder and Orillia, Ontario native Kyle Whitlow was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his performance Saturday at Ohio State.
The redshirt sophomore recorded his fourth hat trick of his career and second of the season despite MU's 11-7 loss to the No. 17/17 Buckeyes.
Whitlow's first goal, which was just four minutes into the game, gave Marquette a brief 2-1 lead and his second cut the deficit to three goals. His third goal to earn a hat trick was his fourth man-up goal of the season, which leads the BIG EAST.
He ranks sixth in the BIG EAST in scoring average with 2.33 goals per game. Further, Whitlow's shot percentage (.538) is good for 24th in the nation.
Whitlow is the third Golden Eagles player to garner BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition in the 2014 season.
As an offense, MU currently leads the BIG EAST in man-up scoring percentage, scoring five goals on nine opportunities (.556). This ranks 13th in NCAA Division I. Additionally, the Golden Eagles are averaging just 12.33 turnovers per game which ranks first in the BIG EAST and 11th nationally.
