USAFA, Colo. -- Marquette will continue on its season-opening nationwide men's lacrosse tour Saturday when the Golden Eagles take on Air Force. Faceoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Central time (noon MST) at Falcon Stadium.

Live video will be available for MU's second game of the inaugural 2013 campaign at Air Force All Access. Fans can view live stats by clicking on the Gametracker link on, or follow @MarquetteMLax on Twitter.

MU will be seeking its first-ever victory Saturday under the direction of rookie head coach Joe Amplo.

Marquette looks to move on after coming out on the losing end of an 18-8 outcome at No. 19/17 Ohio State to open the 2013 campaign last Saturday. It was the first game in the history of the program, kicking off the Golden Eagles inaugural season of NCAA Division I lacrosse.

The Golden Eagles will go head-to-head Saturday with a battle-hardened team in the Falcons, who have already played five regular-season games in 2013. Air Force has rattled off four straight wins since dropping its season opener at No. 4 North Carolina, 16-8, back on Feb. 8.

Air Force is receiving votes in both national polls for the second consecutive week since the first poll was released on Feb. 18. The Falcons are also the second straight opponent Marquette will face to open the season that is either nationally ranked or receiving votes.

Marquette joins High Point as the only other new NCAA Division I men's lacrosse program to begin competition in 2013.

MU will play as an independent for its 2013 inaugural season before becoming a full-time member of the BIG EAST Conference in 2013-14.
