BIG EAST Release

NEW YORK – Marquette junior attackman Ryan McNamara earned his second BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll selection of the season on Monday afternoon following a four-goal effort at Quinnipiac on Saturday.

The Eagan, Minnesota native leads the Golden Eagles (5-1) with 17 goals and 20 points on the season after tying his career-high with four goals for the third time in 2016. The junior gave MU its first lead of the game at the 5:20 mark of the opening quarter against the Bobcats and scored twice in the third before tallying MU’s lone goal of the fourth.

McNamara sits second in the BIG EAST in goals per game (2.83) and has made his first two starts of the year on attack since sliding up from his previous starting position in the midfield.

The Golden Eagles will welcome Georgetown to Valley Fields on Saturday, March 26 to kick off BIG EAST action in a noon Central time contest broadcast live on FS1.
