Blazer and Dunn on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Marquette University goalie Cole Blazer and attackman Joe Dunn were named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for men’s lacrosse following Saturday’s 11-10 win at Georgetown.

Senior Joe Dunn notched a career-high four goals and picked up three ground balls against the Hoyas.  The West Chester, Pennsylvania native scored the final two goals for Marquette (4-2, 1-0 BIG EAST), and grabbed a crucial ground ball off the final face-off to secure the win.

Junior goalie Cole Blazer tallied 14 saves for the Golden Eagles in their BIG EAST lid-lifter after going into the matchup ranked 11th in NCAA Division I with 12.2 saves per game. The Libertyville, Illnois native stands in the top five nationally with his .647 save percentage and goals allowed average of 7.40.

It is the third time this year that Blazer has earned weekly conference recognition and the first time in Dunn’s career.

Marquette hosts Air Force on Tuesday, March 28 at noon Central time at Valley Fields.
