HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Marquette continues its travels Saturday when the Golden Eagles take on the High Point Panthers at Vert Stadium. Faceoff is slated for 11 a.m. Central time (noon ET).

Live streaming video will be available for purchase at HighPointPanthers.com. Live stats will also be provided.

Saturday's matchup features the two newest members of the NCAA Division I men's lacrosse community. High Point (3-9) and Marquette (2-6) both are in its first season of varsity lacrosse and were the only two schools to join the NCAA Division I ranks in 2013.

The Golden Eagles, who will be playing their ninth consecutive game away from home to open their inaugural season, are looking to stop a four-game losing streak after coming off back-to-back losses to nationally ranked opponents last week in No. 5/4 Notre Dame (L, 5-17) and No. 3/3 Denver.

Whereas MU has yet to play a home game, the Panthers on Saturday look forward to last of their five appearances this season at Vert Stadium. High Point enters the contest versus the Golden Eagles 2-4 on its home field with wins over Towson and Michigan. High Points only other win came on March 31 at Mercer (W, 12-10).

The Panthers are coming off a 17-6 loss at No. 7 Duke on April 5. The Blue Demons are one of five common opponents between Marquette and High Point. HPU also played Air Force (L, 4-14), at Bellarmine (L, 5-12), at Jacksonville (L, 8-9) and at Mercer (W, 12-10). MU still has to play at Bellarmine (April 23) and vs. Duke (May 5) this season.

Freshman Dan Lomas has been one of the nation's top attackman in 2013 with 36 points on a team-best 32 goals, including four assists, followed by Matt Thistle (35 points, 17g, 18a). Goalie Austin Geisler averages 12.83 saves per game, which ranks ninth overall in NCAA Div. I.
