April 29, 2017

This is part of a series on the Marquette experiences of the men's lacrosse team's 2017 senior class.

Griffin Connor emerged as a presence in Marquette's defensive midfield during his junior year and has continued to play a big role as a senior on the wing. His offense has also come against big names, owning goals at Notre Dame and against Ohio State and Duke.

1. What is the biggest thing you learned from your time at Marquette?

GC: Be nice to everyone, step outside your boundaries and get comfortable being uncomfortable.

2. What are you most proud of accomplishing at Marquette (as a team and individually)?

GC: Winning the 2016 Big East Championship, making the first ever NCAA appearance, hopefully more to come this year...

3. What advice would you give future members of the Marquette lacrosse program?

GC: Have fun; Invest in the relationships with your teammates because that is what it's all about.

4. Most memorable moment(s)?

GC: The Italy trip during summer 2016 was incredible, spending 10 days there with 50 teammates was an experience I'll never forget.

5. Was there anything else that made your Marquette experience special?

GC: Every bus ride, team dinner, the Disney trip in 2015, etc. ... The support we've been given by the Marquette administration is unbelievable and has made my college experience a great one.
