BIG EAST Release

NEW YORK – Marquette University attackman Joe Dunn’s hat trick on Saturday against No. 2 Denver earned the senior his second mention on the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced on Monday.

Dunn, who leads the Golden Eagles with 20 goals in 2017, notched his third hat trick of the season against the Pioneers and has posted nine goals in MU’s last three games against ranked opponents (Notre Dame, Duke and Denver).

The West Chester, Pennsylvania native also was named to the conference’s weekly honor roll following a four-goal performance in the league lid-lifter at Georgetown on March 25. Seventeen of Dunn’s 20 goals this season have come over the last eight games and he has scored in all but two of those contests.

The fourth-seeded Golden Eagles will face top-seed Denver again on Thursday, May 4 in the semifinals of the BIG EAST tournament in Providence. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network at 3:30 p.m. Central time from Anderson Stadium.
