VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Marquette University attackman Conor Gately and defenseman Dan Mojica were each honored as members of the BIG EAST Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship All-Tournament Team, it was announced following the completion of Saturday's championship game.

Gately, an All-BIG EAST Second Team performer, scored a pair of goals in Marquette's 12-8 loss to then-No. 13/12 Georgetown in the semifinals, while Mojica scored his first career goal midway through the third quarter.

Gately ends the 2015 campaign as the Golden Eagles' second-leading scorer and point producer with 25 goals and 39 points and is first all-time in program history with 106 career points. Mojica, playing in his home state of Pennsylvania, saw action in all 16 games this season with 13 starts on defense and finished fourth on the squad with 27 ground balls.

The Golden Eagles concluded the 2015 season with a program-record 10 victories in just their third season of NCAA Division I competition and spent a majority of the campaign ranked in both national polls -- climbing as high as No. 9 in the media poll on March 16.
