PERRY, New York – Former Marquette University men’s lacrosse player Cole Blazer earned USILA Scholar All-America honors, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced Monday morning.

Blazer is a three-time BIG EAST Championship Team honoree and helped the Golden Eagles to a pair of NCAA Championship appearances in 2016 and 2017. The Libertyville, Illinois native graduated in May with a 3.35 grade point average as a mechanical engineering major and was a BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection as a freshman and junior.

He leaves Marquette as its all-time leader with 360 career saves and was twice selected to the All-BIG EAST Second Team while helping the Golden Eagle to BIG EAST Tournament championships as a sophomore and junior.

Blazer served as the president of the Marquette Engineering Student Council, beginning in 2016, and was part of Marquette’s Scholarly Ambassador and Mentorship programs during his career. He also was a member of the Wisconsin Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honors Society.

Former Golden Eagles Andy DeMichiei (2017), Liam Byrnes (2016) and B.J. Grill (2015) all earned USILA Scholar All-American honors in past seasons.
