Melillo picked up by MLL’s Denver Outlaws

June 11, 2018

DENVER - Former Marquette face-off specialist Zachary Melillo was added to the roster for the Denver Outlaws from the MLL’s Player Pool on Friday.

Melillo, who was undrafted in the league’s collegiate draft, is MU’s all-time leader in face-off winning percentage (.551) and career face-off wins (464). He will be the second former Golden Eagle to suit up for the Outlaws, following B.J. Grill, who was a starting defenseman for Denver in 2016 and 2017.

Melillo joins former teammates Liam Byrnes (Atlanta), Ryan McNamara (Dallas), Conor Gately (Dallas) and Jacob Richard (Charlotte) on an MLL roster.
