Men's Lacrosse Practice Gets Underway

MILWAUKEE - Fall practices have gotten underway at Valley Fields, marking the beginning of the the first season of competition for the Marquette University men's lacrosse team.

The Golden Eagles, who held individual workouts with coaches last week, kicked off their fall season with an intrasquad scrimmage on Monday.

We caught up with team captain Andrew Smistad and head coach Joe Amplo following practice Tuesday afternoon, the group's first official team training session of year.

Marquette will play its first-ever NCAA Division I men's lacrosse game Feb. 23 when they open the 2013 regular season at Ohio State.
