Men's Track and Field Team in Fifth Place at Conference USA Championships
Greg Uher wins Conference USA shot put championship

TAMPA, Fla. - Marquette's men's track team finished the second day of the Conference USA meet in fifth place, with 25 points. Senior Greg Uher won the men's shot put, tossing the shot 56-4.5 feet. Junior Jonathan Chenier finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing with a time of 9:15.32. In the preliminaries, sophomore Nic Wucherer qualified for the 400-meter hurdles and the 110-meter hurdles. Junior Cameron Harvey will also be running in the finals of the 110-meter hurdles. Junior Luke Kunze made it to the finals of the 1,500-meter run, finishing with a time of 3:56.92. Freshman Ryan Jacobson had the best qualifying time (1:53.90) in the 800-meter run. Sophomore Marek Krawczyk was better than the rest of the field in qualifying for the 400-meter run, finishing in 47.86. He will be joined in the 400 by junior Brian Hardin.
