Marquette Men's Track Team Stands Fourth After Day 1 Of C-USA Championships
Heath Roussel and Chris Schwandt Account For MU's Points In Hammer Throw
May 11, 2001 Milwuakee -- The Marquette men's track team stands fourth after the first day of the C-USA Outdoor Championships. The Golden Eagles finished with 10 points and trail leader Charlotte (19 pts.), DePaul (17 pts.) and South Florida. The meet is being held in Tampa, Fla. The Golden Eagles were led by senior Heath Roussel (San Jose, Calif.) and freshman Chris Schwandt (Watertown, Wis.) who posted posted third and fifth-place finishes, respectively, in the hammer throw, Roussel recorded a toss of 179'00.00 while Schwandt registered an effort of 159'04.00.
