2012: Has started every match this season at central defender ... Put the game away with MU's second goal of the second half in a 2-0 win at Providence, while assisting fellow center back John Pothast on the game-winner ... (Sept. 29) ... Scored the golden goal off a header in the 108th minute at Michigan State (Sept. 16) as MU defeated the Spartans 2-1 in double-overtime ... Tallied both of MU's goals in the second half of a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Michigan (Sept. 14) ... Garnered Men's Player of the Week honors by Soccer America and named to the National Player of the Week by both TopDrawerSoccer.com and College Soccer News (Sept. 17) ... Also picked up BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors and was named to the College Sports Madness BIG EAST Player of the Week for his three-goal weekend ... Was credited with an assist on Eric Pothast's game-winning goal in MU's 1-0 shutout at Green Bay (Sept. 26) ... 2011: BIG EAST All-Academic Team ... Saw action in three matches at central defender in his first season at Marquette, but he suffered a broken foot vs. Western Illinois that kept him sidelined for the remainder of the reason and was given redshirt status ... Scored the lone goal in his MU debut, a 2-1 loss at UIC (Aug. 27).

Prior to Marquette: Sjӧberg, listed at 6-foot-7, adds considerable size and strength to MU's formidable backline ... Captured Player of the Year honors in 2010 with Sollentuna United FF (a member of the Swedish second division) after helping the team finish second in the Norra Svealeand section and advance to the Swedish Cup ... Served as the club's captain seven times since 2002 and was a four-time Player of the Year recipient ... Played at Everton's home stadium, Goodison Park, leading Sollentuna to a 2-1 victory over the Toffees' reserves in 2010 ...
