2008: Check did not play in his first season, as goalkeeper Matt Pyzdrowski played every minute in net for the Golden Eagles.

Prior to Marquette: Check helped lead the Homestead High School Highlanders to a North Shore Conference title in double overtime his senior year under head coach Rich Dorn. Check lettered in three varsity sports -- track, baseball and soccer -- while at Homestead. He has also played under coach Sinisa Angelovski for the Mequon Soccer Club, which has produced five national team players, three All-Americans, 15 professional players, and three MLS players.

Personal: David Charles Check was born April 16, 1990. He is the son of Charlie and Lynn Check and majoring in Engineering.
