2006: Lafferty played in one game in his final season, earning a start in the final home game of his career against Seton Hall (Oct. 14).

2005: Lafferty did not see any action as a junior.

2004: Lafferty did not play in his sophomore season.

2003: Lafferty saw time in three matches, starting in his first contest. He earned a start in MU's 2-1 season-opening win against Denver (Aug. 29). He also saw time against Air Force (Aug. 31) and Ill.-Chicago (Sept. 3).

Prior to Marquette: Lafferty comes to Marquette from Freeport High School. He was a four year starter for the Pretzels, playing for Todd Schwarzkopf and Nick Namio. He was selected his team's Most Valuable Player as a sophomore, junior and senior. He was a two time first-team all-state selection and an all-conference selection for three years. He was also named his league's MVP as a junior. In his four seasons, he amassed 50 goals and 44 assists and led his team to a league title as a junior. Lafferty was also a member of the Illinois State ODP squad and is a member of the Rockford Raptors Club. In addition, he played tennis, lettering as a sophomore and junior.

Personal: Bennett Stephen Lafferty was born on June 27, 1984, in Freeport Ill., to Stephen and Susan Lafferty. He has an older sister, Megan. His father played tennis at Indiana State. He is a business administration major.
