2008: Schwab spent the summer training with the Kansas City Wizards and their reserves, while playing for the Wizards' Juniors (U-19) squad. Schwab was a starting midfielder for the The KCW Juniors, which finished runner-up at the 2008 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships in Little Rock, Ark. Under the direction of coaches John Parry, Randall Porter and Peter Vermes, Schwab helped the team win the Kansas State Cup and the Midwest regional.
2007: Schwab received a redshirt in 2007 due to a shoulder injury and sat out the entire season. He will retain his freshman status in 2008.
Prior to Marquette: Playing for head coach Tom Holland at Blue Valley North, Schwab was a first-team all-state, all-region, all-metro and all-county selection as a senior. He was a second team all-league and all-county selection as a junior. He helped guide his team to district titles all four seasons, regional titles three times, a fourth place state finish as a sophomore and state runner-up spots as a junior and senior. He played club soccer for KCFC Alliance under coach Paul Rideout, guiding the team to four state cup titles.
Personal: Tyler Schwab was born February 26, 1989, and is the son of bob and Cathy Schwab. He has a younger sister, Emily.
