At Notre Dame Acad.: Tuchalski was a three-year letterwinner at Notre Dame Academy. He was the starting sweeper as a sophomore and junior and a midfielder as a senior. In his final season, he was his team's captain and was first team all-conference and a Green Bay Press Gazette all-area team selection. As a junior, he was first team all-conference. As a sophomore, he was team defensive MVP, leading his team to a conference title. He was also second team all-conference. Tuchalski was also a member of the Mequon United Club of Milwaukee. His team won a state title in 2000 and came in second in 1998 and 1999. Tuchalski was also a four-year member of the Wisconsin ODP and was a two-year member of the regional ODP. Academically, Tuchalski was on the honor roll, won his school's community service award and was involved with the investment, Spanish and chess clubs.
Personal: Born June 17, 1983, Tuchalski is the son of Michael and Terri Tuchalski. He has a younger brother, Benjamin. His father is a Marquette alum.
