Men's Soccer Travels To Stevens Point For Pair of Weekend Matches

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette University men's soccer team will head to Stevens Point, Wis. this weekend for spring exhibition matches against Viterbo College and University of Wisconsin.

Both matches will be played on Sunday, April 17 at Scaffidi Field at the Portage County Youth Soccer Complex (701 Badger Avenue, Stevens Point, Wis.).

MU will take on Viterbo at 10:30 a.m. CT followed by the Badgers at 3 p.m. Parking is free while there will be $3 adult admission at the gate.


The event is part of the Ministry Sports Medicine College Soccer Festival which kicks off with a free coaches symposium on Saturday, April 16 (4-6 p.m.) at the Stevens Point Holiday Inn.

Golden Eagles head coach Louis Bennett and associate head coach Stan Anderson will both speak at the symposium along with Wisconsin head coach John Trask and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point head women's soccer coach Sheila Miech.

The UWSP women's team will also face Michigan Tech between games Sunday.
