Men's Soccer Hosts Alumni Game, Adds Wisconsin to Spring Slate

April 22, 2015

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette University men's soccer team has added one final scrimmage to its spring slate with a trip to Wisconsin scheduled for this Sunday, April 26. The two teams, which have met in the regular season every year since 1964, will kick things off at 6 p.m. at the McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison.

The Golden Eagles were originally scheduled to conclude their spring competition season tonight, April 22, against Milwaukee, but that game was canceled and prompted an opportunity to schedule the Badgers, who went 3-12-3 a season ago. Marquette claimed a 2-0 win against UW at home last season back on Oct. 1. The victory came in the middle of MU's record-breaking eight-game shutout streak that highlighted the 2014 campaign.

Prior to Sunday's game in Madison, Marquette will host its annual Alumni Game at Valley Fields Saturday, April 25. A total of 20 alumni will make their way back to the Blue & Gold pitch to take part in a friendly featuring players of present and past. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
