MILWAUKEE -- The fourth annual Marquette Soccer Fan Fest will kick off the 2010 men's and women's soccer season on Friday, Aug. 20 at Valley Fields. The completely free event includes food provided by Qdoba, interactive soccer skills stations, player autograph and photo opportunities and great prizes.

The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. Highlighting the event this year is the regular season opener for the Golden Eagles women's soccer team as they face the Idaho State Bengals at 7:30 p.m.

Interactive stations and activities will include 3 v. 3, soccer tennis, shooting and passing drills, soccer basketball and soccer bowling. You can also take a penalty kick against a real Marquette goalkeeper, meet the players and coaches and don't forget to pick up your free schedule posters!

Marquette soccer players and coaches will be available throughout the event to keep score at each station, sign autographs, take pictures and discuss the upcoming season with fans of all ages.

Valley Fields is located at 1818 Canal Street.

Season tickets for the 2010 season are now on sale for just $30 ($15 for youth 18 and younger) and include all men's and women's games at Valley Fields.
