Men's Soccer Team Officially Reports For Preseason

Aug. 7, 2012

The Marquette University men's soccer team officially reported today for the 2012 preseason. It was busy day that included team meetings with coaches, NCAA compliance, athletic trainers and media relations personnel.

Tuesday culminated with team dinner at Valley Fields as players were briefed on tomorrow's training sessions after the players were surprised with an unveiling of a newly renovated locker room at Marquette Gym [photo].

(The upgrade comes on the heels of the $1.2 million, 3,000-square-foot Klein Family/KBS Soccer Pavillion, located at The Valley, which was completed before the start of the 2011 championship season.)

Earlier Tuesday, individual head shots were taken for GoMarquette.com, team equipment was issued and all necessary paperwork was completed in order for the Golden Eagles to begin their BIG EAST title defense when the squad starts preseason training Wednesday morning at The Valley.
