MU (0-1-0) dropped its regular-season opener on the road, 2-1, at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Friday night. Redshirt sophomore C. Nortey scored the lone goal for the Golden Eagles when he leveled the match at 1-1 in the 17th minute, but Marquette was unable to complete the comeback after surrendering a pair of first-half goals.

Green Bay (1-0-0) enters Sunday's contest coming off a 3-2 victory in its 2013 lidlifter Friday at DePaul. The host Blue Demons bookended the first half with goals in the second and 45th minutes to secure a 2-1 lead going into halftime, but the Phoenix scored twice unanswered to open the second half with goals from Sam Krenzien (48') and Audi Jepson (50'), respectively.

The Golden Eagles are unbeaten in their last 13 regular-season matches on the natural grass pitch at The Valley, boasting a 12-0-1 record during that stretch. Marquette's last regular-season home loss on grass was a 1-0 setback to Northern Illinois on Oct. 4, 2011.
