MILWAUKEE -- Michigan State travels to Valley Fields for a Friday night match up against the Marquette University men's soccer team. Kick off is set for 7:05 p.m. Central time.

Friday's promotions include a welcome back picnic for students featuring free food from Qdoba, Soccer Around the World Night, and Fan Fest Scorecard Night for those who attended the season kickoff at Valley Fields.

This is just the fourth time since 1965 that these two Midwest schools will meet on the pitch. It's a rematch of last year's contest in East Lansing, Mich., which the Spartans won 1-0.

Michigan State (1-4-0) was ranked No. 19 in the NSCAA preseason poll, but have lost two straight. The Spartans' lone win is a 3-0 shutout over New Hampshire.

Marquette (1-4-0), which opened with four straight games away from Valley Fields, comes into Friday's match looking to get back on the winning track after three straight consecutive losses since its 3-2 double-overtime victory against Western Michigan back on Sept. 4 in the Panther Invitational.
