MILWAUKEE -- The No.-12 ranked Marquette University (5-2-0) men's soccer team will play the final game of its non-conference schedule against in-state rival Wisconsin (1-5-1) on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7:05 p.m. Central time at Valley Fields.

The game will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel (1332HD / 32) and on Marquette Radio. Fans can also visit for a live stream of Wednesday's match, in addition to live stats. You can also follow @marquettesoccer on Twitter for in-game updates.

After going 10 days between games, Wednesday's match against Wisconsin is Marquette's first match since September 20. MU's BIG EAST opener against Providence scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27 was postponed because of travel issues for the Friars.

The Golden Eagles have earned five straight wins in shutout fashion and enter Wednesday's contest against Wisconsin on a six-match home winning streak (including five straight shutouts at Valley Fields), dating back to last season. Under the direction of head coach Louis Bennett, the Golden Eagles are 20-3-2 (.840) on their home pitch since 2012.

Although the Badgers have an advantage in the all-time series (Marquette is 14-28-11 against Wisconsin), the Golden Eagles have won each of the last two at Valley Fields.

All-America candidate goalkeeper Charlie Lyon has not allowed a goal since the 32nd minute in a 1-0 loss to Indiana the opening weekend of this season (Aug.31), stretching a span of 508:39. The last visiting player to score at Valley Fields was Seton Hall's Max Garcia in the 47th minute of a 2-1 MU win (Nov. 2, 2013).

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for anyone 18 and younger. Admission is free for all Marquette students, and the first 200 students will receive free chicken wings from Pizza Hut Wing Street. The concession stand will also be selling hot dogs, sodas and chips for just $1 while supplies last. After the match, players and coaches will be available for autographs.
