Official BIG EAST Release

NEW YORK – Senior Jason Davis was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll following a breakout performance in a 2-2 draw against Providence, the league office announced on Monday.

This marks the third-straight week that Marquette has had a player named to the weekly honor roll and first career weekly honor for the Loughborough University transfer.

The Birmingham, England, native scored his first career goal that tied the game at 1-1 in the 64th minute on Saturday. Davis fired off a match-best eight shots in 77 minutes off the bench and had numerous opportunities to add on as the Golden Eagles picked up a point with a 2-2 draw against preseason BIG EAST favorite Providence.

Davis has appeared in six games for MU this season, earning two starts while tallying 11 shots, including five on target.

The Golden Eagles have five regular season matches remaining – all against BIG EAST opponents. The team travels to Queens, NY to take on St. John’s Saturday, Oct. 14, at 4:30 p.m. Central time.
